14 June 2021 15:00 GMT, 10:00 EST Present: Kate, Angeline, and John; Apologies: Mack, Alexa, and Melissa
- John gets a gold star for completing the most tasks 🌟
- Looked over NAM poster. It looks good, just needs acknowledgements added. Sent the NRL text, Alexa needs to be contacted for her information. Also, Angeline needs to update the presentation to include the updates made after adding the materials to GitHub.
- Discussed the letter review process. John had decided to include only a corrected file with areas for improvement highlighted and the reasons why changes should be made in these areas. Kate and Angeline had additionally included a "corrected" document. The benefit for the additional document is that it made it possible to point to places where more examples or information should be included to craft a better letter. John's reasoning was that he wanted people to read over the corrections and fix them, to internalise the corrections and become better letter writers. It also prevents people from just using a corrected document without much thought. We decided that for now, both types of reviews are acceptable.
- Angeline had done the scheduling, minutes, reviewed pull requests, and reviewed the bad non-binary letter.
- Kate reviewed the bad non-binary letter.
- Mack had used the reviews from Angeline and Kate to craft a good non-binary letter and sent apologies as he is on holiday.
- Angeline - write up minutes, provide GitHub support, create training resources, add to Letter article, add Helio2050 presentation to GitHub, and review PRs when tagged.
- Alexa - Add to Letter article, revise bad non-binary letter, review PRs when tagged.
- Kate - Add to Letter article, review PRs when tagged, add comments to good non-binary letter.
- Mack - Add to Letter article, and review PRs when tagged.
- Mel - Address outstanding issues.
- John - Add to Letter article, combine comments from bad non-binary letter, create host link for the next meeting, and review PRs when tagged.
