Why are there multiple features with the same ore?

With the new ore generation introduced by Mojang in Minecraft version 1.18 there are now multiple features wich generated the same ore. This is done to have more variety when mining. For Example, there are ore_diamond, ore_diamond_buried and ore_diamond_large.

Where:

• ore_diamond generates multiple smaller veins per chunk
• ore_diamond_buried generates multiple large veins per chunk, which are buried and not visible from a cave or similar.
• ore_diamond_large generates one large vein every 9 chunks, which is somewhat buried.

If this variety is not wanted, you can only change one of the features and disable the other ones.
