To Do
With only a few days left to the project, a summary of all the major blockages has been listed. To better prioritize and organize, the following to-do list was made:
- Find and connect a wall plug to both AC/DC converters
- Solder and arrange the LED strips
- Inspect and fix the connectors
- Choose a plan of action for the photosensor
- Integrate software and hardware
- Choose a plan of action for the motor
The photosensor breakout board has not arrived. With the tight time limit there are two back-up plans should it not arrive:
- Solder and somehow connect the photosensor chip
- Create a mini photo-resistor circuit
There is an adequate AC/DC converter, however it is missing a wall plug. Obtaining and wiring a wall plug to the converter is necessary.
There is also a 3.3V AC/DC converter but it is also missing a plug.
As of November 26th, the second order of components has yet to arrive. As a result there are currently only 8 modules (6 LEDs were broken - 2 of the 10 original modules are gone). Of these 8, 6 modules have been arranged onto LED strips, the last 2 modules need to be soldered onto strips.
A prototype of the LED frame is being made, and should be complete by November 27th. The LED strips will need to be adhered to the frame.
After soldering connectors, the circuit does not work as expected. The connectors need to be inspected and maybe removed.
