Persona Sophie
Sophie Cho is 23 years old and hopes to be a songwriter and well-known Musician. Sophie lives in Brooklyn, NY and is currently attending Brooklyn College. She is currently working at a local cafe and performs voluntarily on weekends for friends/family. Sophie also sings and plays piano and acoustic guitar at Church on Sundays.
Sophie prefers doing acoustic and piano covers and promotes herself by creating videos on YouTube. She believes it is very difficult to find venues who are looking for her specific type of voice and are inviting to unsigned artists. Sophie also plays on the train or at public places once in a while to promote her music and receive feedback for her music.
Sophie's only source of gig information is through the word of mouth from friends, close connections or if she walks by a bar or venue looking for musicians. However, she realizes the flyers are always looking for specific type of musicians. Sophie wishes for a place where she can talk about events and add advertisements for other musicians to apply for.
Sophie would like to connect her Soundcloud account so venues can hear if she is the right musician for their venue. She would also love if venues can see her location and call her in to play at an open spot. Sophie wishes that venues will get text notifications when she applies for their event.
