I just came across exactly the same problem today after cloning the most recent version of barrnap
from GitHub. Unfortunately, I had to bugfix myself before noticing this pull request. I suggest this simple edit gets approved in the main branch, because the extraneous "+" is indeed the issue why --outseq doesn't write results to an outfile.
