PROTEL is the PRocedure Oriented Type Enforcing Language. It was orginally used by Bell-Northern Research / Nortel Networks on the DMS product line of switching systems. PROTEL 2026 is a new open-source version of PROTEL that runs on modern MacOS and UNIX / Linux systems, and fully integrates with C/C++, Rust, Python, and Java.
