When resizing upwards, the position was not recalculated so the element would grow downward until the resize finished, then it would jump to the correct location.

Adds a function call to update the element position, similar to resizing using the west handle.
Also renames
updateElemenetPosition()toupdateElementPosition(), fixing a typo.Fixes #414
