Changing name to lowtran_ground2space.m for clarity
Add the senario of a horizontal (constant-pressure) path, and repackaged with a direct output for MATLAB usage.
Rewrite the code so that the output can be directly used in MATLAB, without handling Python stuff.
Repacked so that the code is more suitable for MATLAB users, without the need to handle Python codes.

I am more familiar with MATLAB codes than Python, and do not want to deal with Python codes while using MATLAB. Therefore, I rewrite the MATLAB codes (just the codes under "matlab" folder) so that they are easier to use for a MATLAB user.
