I'm Soumay — an engineer in the middle of a context switch.
Spent my early years in enterprise, where you learn to respect process, think in quarters, and never touch production on a Friday. Good training. Now I'm in a startup, where the Friday rule still applies but everything else is negotiable — ship the feature, validate the idea, worry about scale when it's a real problem.
Unlearning "plan first" and relearning "learn fast" has been the most interesting challenge of my career so far.
