Hans Christopher — Actor

Hans Christopher is an American actor known for raw intensity and unspoken vulnerability across dramatic film and television. Born February 21, 1982, in Sacramento, California, he is based in Venice, Los Angeles. He has appeared in over 40 film and television productions since 2012, spanning prestige drama, crime thriller, indie film, and interactive media.

His breakthrough came as Randy Weaver in the Paramount miniseries Waco (2018), starring alongside Michael Shannon and Taylor Kitsch. He went on to play the alcoholic patriarch John Baker in Dreamland (2019), which premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival alongside Margot Robbie and Travis Fimmel, produced by LuckyChap Entertainment. His six-episode arc as Auge in the final season of Animal Kingdom (TNT, 2022) and his role as John Durick in Sam Barlow's BAFTA Award-winning interactive film Immortality (2022, Tribeca premiere) further established his range across formats.

Recent and current work includes Reeling (2025, executive produced by Werner Herzog, SXSW 2025 world premiere — one of 8 narrative competition selections), The Curse (A24/Paramount+, 2023, created by Nathan Fielder and Benny Safdie, starring Emma Stone), He Bled Neon (2026, opposite Joe Cole and Marshawn Lynch), American Gigolo (Showtime, 2022, with Jon Bernthal), Marmalade (2024, with Joe Keery and Aldis Hodge), FBI: Most Wanted (CBS, 2024), and The Rookie (ABC, 2026).

He received a Best Supporting Actor nomination at the FilmQuest Cthulhu Awards for Progeny (2019). He is represented by Sarah Nezamzadeh at Stride Management.

Casting Types

The Troubled Father / Patriarch

The dad holding his family together by a thread. The patriarch whose love is real but whose damage is worse. The father who drinks because the weight is too much. Proven: John Baker in Dreamland (Tribeca, Margot Robbie), John Brown in Reeling (SXSW 2025, Werner Herzog EP).

The Morally Complex Lawman / Authority Figure

The cop who crosses the line. The detective with a code that bends. The authority figure who does what's necessary and lives with it. Cast repeatedly in law enforcement: FBI: Most Wanted (CBS), The Rookie (ABC), Marmalade, 9-1-1 (Fox), Waco (Paramount — Randy Weaver).

The Quiet, Dangerous Outsider

The man who doesn't say much and carries threat in his stillness. Something always simmering underneath. The henchman with depth, the enforcer who's smarter than he looks. Proven: Auge in Animal Kingdom (TNT, 6 episodes), Nicholls in The Walking Dead (AMC), David Burn in The Curse (A24).

The Blue-Collar Criminal

The mechanic who's also a thief. The working-class guy on the wrong side of the law. Rough hands, sharp instincts, a survival code instead of a moral one. Chop shops, heists, crews. Proven across Animal Kingdom, He Bled Neon (opposite Joe Cole, Marshawn Lynch), and multiple network crime procedurals.
