I have added a new budget suggestion module to the project, which includes both backend and frontend components. The backend, built with Flask, processes user spending data and generates budget suggestions based on a 3-6 month analysis of their spending. These suggestions also include confidence intervals for each spending category, providing more reliable insights. On the frontend, a React component fetches the suggestions from the Flask API and displays them in a user-friendly way.
This change addresses the need for personalized budgeting support by analyzing spending trends and offering practical suggestions. The feature helps users manage their finances more effectively by providing budget recommendations based on their historical data. By including confidence intervals, the module gives users an understanding of the potential accuracy of each suggestion.
The backend API has endpoints for submitting user data and retrieving the budget suggestions, while the frontend React component interacts with these endpoints to display the information. This update should provide an immediate value to users looking to manage their spending more effectively.
