Getting Started

⚠️ Before using rmConfig, it is recommended to read the Reactive Music documentation on making songpacks.

The project tab is where your project starts and ends. You can start from scratch, or modify existing project files.

To get started:

  1. Select your resourcepack directory by clicking the Browse button, or dragging and dropping the folder into the directory text field.
  2. Import the filenames of your music files by clicking Import Filenames. Make sure to click this button any time you add music files to your project in the same session of using rmConfig.
  3. Set the details of your project, like the project's name, author, description, etc. when starting a new project.
  4. To load an existing project from a Reactive Music .yaml or rmConfig .rmc, use the drop down selector. This selector automatically populates with valid files from your project directory.

To save or export your project...

...click either of the Save buttons to save as either a .yaml or .rmc

  • Saving as a .yaml is used when you are finished with your project, or are ready to test it in-game. .yaml files do not support disabled events.
  • Saving as a .rmc is useful for creating presets, managing multiple versions without cluttering the Reactive Music UI, or keeping unfinished projects without creating a broken or invalid .yaml. .rmc files will not be recognized by Reactive Music.
