I think this should be closed in favor of #288 (with my suggestion there to update the default version) since that allows to set kotlinVersion from android/build.gradle and will not require an update to this library if the kotlinVersion will need to be updated again in future.

Guys i published a fork of this package as @itesaurabh/react-native-text-input-mask
i updated the kotlin version but not sure how ill manage any future issues. maybe someone can contribute? anyways
for now its working fine.

I switched to https://www.npmjs.com/package/react-native-mask-input, seems to work fine. I didn't observe initially that this library is not mantained anymore.
