Dataminr delivers the earliest warnings on high impact events and critical information far in advance of other sources.
The Polarity Dataminr Pulse integration allows Polarity to search Dataminr by all entities to get related Alerts. The integration will return the 10 most recent related Alerts. The integration also includes the ability to pin alerts to the top of Polarity for instant notification.

The integration implements automatic rate limiting based on the Dataminr API's response headers with intelligent request queuing. This prevents 429 (Too Many Requests) errors and timeout issues.
How it works:
- Starts with sane defaults: 6 requests per 30-second window
- Monitors
x-ratelimit-limit,x-ratelimit-remaining, andx-ratelimit-resetheaders from every API response - Automatically adjusts rate limiting based on the actual API limits
- Request queuing: When rate limits are exhausted, requests are queued (max 12 requests)
- Requests beyond the queue limit are dropped with an error to prevent timeouts
- Waits when quota is exhausted, using the API's
x-ratelimit-resetvalue for precise timing - No user configuration needed - the integration adapts to the API's rate limits automatically
Queue behavior:
- Maximum queue size: 12 requests
- Requests are processed one at a time when rate limit allows
- If the queue is full, new requests are immediately rejected with an error
- This prevents the UI from timing out when clicking rapidly on alerts
Note: Rate limiting is applied only to Dataminr API calls, not to authentication token requests.
