This is a repository for the ion chromatography ontology development.
The ion chromatography ontology (IC_ontology.ttl), also called IC-O, is a domain-specific ontology for the detailed semantic description of ion chromatography measurements.
It reuses several classes and properties from other ontologies and vocabularies such as Plasma-O, CHMO, and QUDT.
The repository also contains competency questions which are used to demonstrate possible use-cases for the ontology.
The usage of Protégé software is recommended to further develop the ontology. The initial version was designed in Protégé 5.6.4.
Currently, this repository is maintained by the Research Data Management (RDM) group of the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology. In case of found problems or ideas for new classes/properties please use GitHub issues. Support is available by Robert Wagner (robert.wagner@inp-greifswald.de).
IC-O will be further developed to incorporate feedback from the community and further developments in the analytical field.
We are open to collaborations. Feedback from researchers and ontology experts are welcome. We believe that collaborative work is an important key to continously develop the ontology.
IC-O is distributed under a Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).
