A task an agent never finished is taken as left open after 20 idle minutes, but until now any later call took it up again however long ago that was, and a Chat page sub-agent woken by a message un-finished its task even hours after it stopped. Now a task can only be taken up again within 20 minutes of ending: calls, sub-tasks and finish_task for one left open longer are refused with a conflict telling the agent to start a new task. The check sits in the database layer's line lock (
isOpenin db/task.ts), using a newtaskEndedLongAgohelper in @proxy/utils/tasks. Chat page sub-agents whose task ended long ago get a new task with the same title and goal instead, both when a message wakes them and on their next call after a long sleep.Open workspace in Conductor
