Freewall

A Google Chrome extension for bypassing paywalls on certain websites.

IMPORTANT: This repository is for research and demonstration purposes only.

Usage

1. Download or clone this repository.
2. Duplicate manifest.default.json and rename the duplicate manifest.json.
3. Edit manifest.json and replace http://example.com/ with your desired URL. Don't forget the trailing forward slash, it's important.
4. Open Chrome and navigate to chrome://extensions/ (just copy it into the URL bar).
5. Tick 'Developer Mode' in the top right corner.
6. Click 'Load unpacked extension...'.
7. Navigate to the root folder of this repository on your local computer.
8. ✅ Done!
