Repository files navigation

Spawn files viewer

*.swt only.

Reasons for creation

Reading plain text of .swt files is a pain for the eyes, so I created this tool to make modding a bit easier.

It is targeting <Action> blocks with name a_spawnUnitGroupToZone

Installation

Prerequisites

This tool requires Go programming language to be installed on your system.

Linux/Mac

Install Go using your package manager

Windows

  1. Download Go from https://go.dev/dl/
  2. Run the installer and follow the instructions
  3. Open Command Prompt and verify installation:
go version

Building the binary

# Clone or download the source code
git clone <repository-url>
cd spawn-editor

# Build the binary
go build -o spawn-view main.go

# Make it executable (Linux/macOS)
chmod +x spawn-view

Usage

spawn-view <filename>

$ spawn-view 3rd_mission.swt
