Sample materials (assets/)

Real, fictional practice files so anyone can do every lab without their own content. See assets/README.md for the full manifest.

  • SAMPLE-Email-Thread-for-Practice.txt — Exercise 1 (Email → 2-on-2)
  • SAMPLE-Document-for-PowerPoint.docx — Exercise 2 (Doc → PowerPoint)
  • SAMPLE-Meeting-Transcript.docx — Exercise 3 (Meeting → SOP)
  • Email_Thread.txt — 14-message thread with decisions buried in replies (summarize / extract action items)
  • Status_Update.docx — dense, messy status memo (summarize / tighten)
  • Budget_Tracker.xlsx — three tabs of raw numbers (interpret / flag outliers)
  • Quarterly_Deck.pptx — 12 overcrowded slides (condense / executive summary)
  • Policy_SOP.pdf — process SOP (Q&A / extraction)

How to use

Each exercise is self-contained: what you'll do, time, setup, a copy-paste prompt, a sample, follow-up prompts, a verification checklist, and a reflection. Work in Copilot Chat and the M365 apps with the sample files (or your own non-sensitive content). The live labs are also hosted at github.com/opsgility/CMD-CCIIO.

Ground rules

Copilot drafts; you decide. Verify before you trust — check names, dates, dollar figures, and owners against the source. Never paste sensitive or non-public CMS information — use the fictional sample files or your own non-sensitive content only. Iterate: your first prompt is a starting point, not the finish line. All sample data in this repository is fictional and for training only.
