Representative Trajectories of r-Process Survey

Final abundances of the representative trajectories from the nucleosynthesis groups found in Kuske, Arcones, Reichert, ApJ 990:37 (2025). Please cite this paper when using the data provided here.

In this study, reaction network calculations were performed for 120,000 astrophysical conditions with different inital electron fractions ($Y_\mathrm{e,0}$), initial entropies ($s_\mathrm{0}$), and expansion timescales ($\tau$). All conditions are clustered into eight groups according to their final abundances, based on which of the r-process peaks are present. The representative conditions are defined as those, for which the final abundance pattern is closest to the average pattern of a group.

Group: r-Process peaks $Y_\mathrm{e,0}^\mathrm{repr}$ $s_\mathrm{0}^\mathrm{repr}$ $\tau^\mathrm{repr}$
($k_\mathrm{B}/\mathrm{nuc}$) ($\mathrm{ms}$)
G0: none (Fe/Ni) 0.485 3.90 0.25
G1: 1st 0.350 3.50 150.00
G2: 1st + 2nd 0.245 6.75 65.00
G3: none ($n$ / $p$ / $\alpha$) 0.465 290.00 1.00
G4: 2nd 0.310 29.00 0.25
G5: 1st + 2nd + 3rd 0.210 7.75 4.00
G6: 2nd + 3rd (ac-poor) 0.280 31.00 1.00
G7: 2nd + 3rd (ac-rich) 0.275 88.00 2.00

The files contain the final mass fractions $X(Z,A)$ of all nuclei.
