PSION Organiser II - Top Slot Large Case
This repository holds files needed to create a Top Slot Case large PCB for the Psion Organiser 2
All the files are required.
The default repository format for 3D files is STEP ( ISO 10303 ) due to its high fidelity. { STL files are surface geometry as opposed to solid model representations, often containing export processing artifacts }.
FreeCAD may prove suitable for viewing, handling and, if desired modifying STEP files.
Models might be viewed on line using the following links. Noting display of any mesh lines is a feature of the renderer and are not contained in the source STEP model. It is strongly recommended to use the source STEP file where ever possible, as any export process will introduce artifacts.
This model is intended to enable space claim assesment in design of PCB's
The 3D model makes no accommodation for manufacturing tolerances, process or material - see Notes below.
The assembly of the case has been tested.
The original case also included an adhesive backed foam cut out that was compressed when the case inserted into position into the top slot.

LEDO 6060 (at least from the fabricator concerned) was found to be extremely sensitive to ambient U.V. and suffered considerable discolouration.
The in place retention spring bar needs carefull consideration of the material selected, the original material used was injection moulded ABS.
