Nicholas Karimi

Senior Software Engineer | Team lead | Building systems with hand-written code.

I design and ship backend-heavy systems with a focus on reliability, scalability, and clean architecture.

Currently working across:

  • Multi-tenant platforms (Form builders, marketplaces)
  • APIs (public + internal, rate-limited, production-ready)
  • DevOps pipelines (Docker, CI/CD, infrastructure)
  • Government-scale systems (data, workflows, automation)

I care about:

  • Systems that don’t break at 2am
  • Code that other engineers can actually read
  • Shipping fast, but not reckless

  • Building MtaaAPI – public Kenyan data API
  • Designing production-ready systems
