💻 System requirements

LinguaVox works on most modern Windows computers. Ensure you have the following before you start:

  • Operating System: Windows 10 or Windows 11.
  • Browser: The latest version of Google Chrome.
  • Hardware: An active internet connection and a working microphone.
  • Account: A valid browser profile to save your settings.

🛠️ Troubleshooting common issues

If you encounter problems, check these items first.

Microphone not detected Check your Windows sound settings. Make sure your microphone works in other apps. Ensure Chrome has permission to use your microphone. You can check this by clicking the lock icon in the address bar of your browser.

Slow translation response A stable internet connection helps the software work fast. If translation takes too long, check your Wi-Fi signal. High-speed internet improves performance for real-time tasks.

Extension not showing up Click the puzzle piece icon in the top right of Chrome. Pin the LinguaVox icon so it remains visible in your toolbar.

Software updates We update LinguaVox to keep it secure and fast. If the software behaves in an odd way, visit the release page to check for a newer version. Uninstall the old version before you run the new one.

📋 Privacy and data

We value your privacy. LinguaVox processes your voice data to provide dictation and translation. It does not store your voice recordings on our servers once the task finishes. Your transcripts stay within your browser.

🌐 Language support

LinguaVox offers support for 21 languages to ensure global accessibility. These include major world languages used for business and casual talk. Check the settings menu inside the extension to change your input and output language at any time. If you need to switch between tasks, the settings save your preferences for your next session.

🚀 Further support

If you need more help, look at the documentation files provided in this repository. These documents contain deep information on each feature. You can read these guides to learn about shortcuts, advanced settings, and tips for better voice recognition accuracy. Proper microphone placement makes a big difference in how well the software understands your words. Try to sit in a quiet room to get the best results.
