I'm working on a book about Li3 at the moment and have made reference to this library. I've added some docs on how to use it at: http://gavd.github.io/step-by-step-web-apps-with-lithium-php/flash-messages.html
Li3 version 1.1 is PHP 7 compatible. The String class clashes with a reserved word, so use Text instead.
The original fork is apparently not maintained so I'll add mine to packagist
no idea what i'm doing wrong
