This PR makes the following changes in order to simplify the login process:
I personally think typing the root password without any feedback is really challenging with the current state of the keyboard. It often takes me multiple tries to login. Many people seem to struggle with this. I suspect many people asking what the password is actually know the password but aren't able to type it accurately.
Examples of people this would have helped:
We can always revert this decision if we get a full installer that can setup a user, but for now I think it improves the on-boarding experience.
