Modified simpletest so that it would build successfully with ARM compiler V6.16 and V6.6.4 using ARM FuSa (Functional Safety) library. This is perfect for critical safety systems that have functional safety requirements.
Technically, this should build successfully with other embedded software cross-compilers and work seamlessly on the target hardware.
Some features of the original simpletest have been removed (such as threading) due to causing errors during the build. Therefore, I don't think this pull request should merge to master but rather to a dedicated branch of EmbeddedSafety in the simplest repository.
