I've moved as many settings as I can into the global gitconfig file, which now lives in the correct location.
This file is a fast way to specify the initial window size and position as well as the font for emacs.
I've set Unity .meta files and Emacs draft files to be ignored.
I found that this was needed for running Emacs via WSL, so I'm adding it.
