by calling get comments in the try block it only needs to be called once. Additionally, the oauth_helper.refresh is only called when the token expires
decoupled the code to make it a bit easier on the brain
the script will now respond with “lol” to comments containing the word HARAMBAE. next up is changing it to “lol” and releasing it on Me_IRL
This should work, but there are no “lol” instances matching the criteria yet
I discovered that only the first 25 comments are actually scrapped.
comment limit is at its maximum. The only way to get more it seems is to iterate through 1000 submissions and scrape every comment
