What I did:

  • Fixed a false-negative bug in security.txt detection
  • Ensured proper fallback to /.well-known/security.txt (RFC 9116)
  • Improved detection reliability when /security.txt returned HTML instead of valid content

Impact:

  • Prevents incorrect reporting of missing security disclosure files
  • Improves accuracy of automated security checks
  • PR: Lissy93/web-check#292
