The Olive Branch Network is built on the premise that decentralized finance can do more than generate yield — it can direct that yield toward the people and causes that need it most.
OBN is a staking protocol on Base that embeds charitable funding into its core mechanics. Users stake OBN to earn yield while automatically directing a portion of their rewards to a nonprofit of their choice — no separate donation, no manual action required. Every time rewards are claimed, 10% flows directly to that organization's wallet, onchain and verifiable.
The result is a self-sustaining funding model: as participation grows, so does the impact. Nonprofits receive predictable, passive income tied to community support rather than fundraising cycles. Stakers earn competitive yield without sacrificing the causes they care about.

When you stake OBN in a nonprofit's pool, the protocol continuously mints rewards and splits them:

Every nonprofit onboarded to OBN receives 1,000,000 OBN permanently staked in their pool from the Charity Fund. This bootstrap gives them:
- Reward generation from day one, before a single user has staked in their pool
- A permanently locked position they can never lose — principal is sealed at the contract level
- A credible, verifiable TVL foundation that grows as community participation increases
The bootstrap is not a grant. It is a permanent stake. The nonprofit earns 10% of all rewards generated by that position indefinitely, alongside every user who chooses to stake in their pool. As community staking grows, so does the nonprofit's share of emissions — automatically, onchain, with no administrative action required.
The first 100 nonprofits are funded from the 10% Genesis Reserve allocated at launch. As the protocol matures, ongoing bootstrap capacity is replenished by the 1% emissions stream that accrues continuously to the Charity Fund.
OBN uses a 10-year emission schedule that rewards early adopters while ensuring long-term viability:
