Changes to the Gateway 4 offline install:

  • use pip wheel for source Python modules
  • use pip download for non-source Python modules
  • remove code that installed Gateway 4 and then used pip freeze
  • building the source Python modules is no longer required on the air-gapped install servers
  • build packages are no longer downloaded/uploaded (they are now only required on the download server)
  • Ansible is no longer installed separately since it is part of the automation-gateway wheel
  • Python dependency modules are only used to pin specific versions

Drop support for old Gateway versions

Remove separate Gateway Ansible install tasks since Ansible is installed automatically when installing the Gateway wheel
