If key battery parameters are unknown, they can be automatically computed by analyzing charging and discharging processes.

Battery capacity:

By monitoring the SoC during a charging / discharging event, the capacity of the battery can be statistically computed.

Charging / discharging efficiency

The energy that is lost during charging and discharging highly depends on the (dis-) charging power. We can monitor and statistically derive these performance indicators for an individual battery. This information is valuable for EMS to know how much the charging speed influences the energy losses.
