Pytest floor breaks old Python

Raising the floor to pytest>=9.0.3 in requirements-testing.txt conflicts with how tests are run: every tox testenv installs that file, pytest 9 only supports Python 3.10+, and the matrix still includes 3.6–3.9 (with pytest<7.0.0 on 3.6/3.7).
