One thing to change and also I would suggest that the SC changes are moved into a separate PR. The changes seems good alongside the other changes stacked up.

I believe the patch increment is fair but others might believe it warrants a minor increment instead to flag the change to the normalisation process.

### Rationale

Translational readthrough occurs when the ribosome reaches a stop codon but, instead of terminating, a near-cognate tRNA outcompetes the release factor and an amino acid is incorporated. Translation then continues in-frame to the next stop codon, producing a C-terminally extended protein. The amino acid inserted at the readthrough position depends on which tRNA wins the competition, which varies by stop codon and cellular context. The asterisk (`*`) functions as an ambiguity code, analogous to how IUPAC ambiguity codes (R, Y, N, etc.) represent uncertain nucleotides in DNA sequences.
