Hi there, I'm Flavia! 👋

Welcome to my GitHub profile. I am a developer and bioinformatician based in Montreal, Canada, working at the intersection of life sciences, software development, and laboratory optimization.

🔬 About My Work

  • Bioinformatics & Genomics: I develop custom scripts and pipelines to process genomic data, including nanopore and illumina sequencing analysis.
  • Software & Web Development: I heavily utilize Python for scripting and complex data analysis. I also have experience building and troubleshooting web applications using Django.
  • Laboratory Automation: A significant part of my work involves automating laboratory workflows. I work with Momentum alongside liquid handlers, sealers, ODTCs, centrifuges, and incubators to streamline scientific operations.
  • Current Explorations: Using the Vantage system (Venus 5) to develop automated laboratory workflows for mammalian cells.
