While we wait for the maintainers to merge this, you can try this fork. It has fixed btcec v2, btcutil and bchutil. go get -v -u github.com/leecheuk/go-hdwallet |

Update Import Paths to correctly use github.com/btcsuite/btcd/btcec/v2 package
Commented the use of BCH address generation since cpacia/bchutil dependencies relies on outdated version of btcsuite library, an open PR addressing the issue
All test passes locally
