Network Discovery

The Discovery panel (Alt+6) shows all Art-Net nodes and sACN sources visible on the network in real time.

Art-Net Nodes

Each discovered Art-Net node shows:

  • Short name and long name
  • Firmware version
  • IP address
  • Port count and active universes

ArtPoll is manually triggered via the toolbar button to avoid continuous background traffic on production networks. Nodes are removed 60 seconds after their last reply.

Remote Node Configuration

Select a node to open the configuration panel. You can:

  • Change port universe assignments
  • Set merge mode (HTP/LTP) per port
  • Set port direction (input/output)
  • Enable/disable RDM per port
  • Set output style and protocol selection (Art-Net/sACN)
  • Change the node's IP address and DHCP mode via ArtIpProg

Commands are paced at 20ms between packets to prevent node buffer overflow on multi-port configurations.

Protocol-Aware Port Configuration

Switching a port between Art-Net and sACN adapts the addressing UI automatically: sACN hides Net/Subnet and expands Universe to 1–32,767. Art-Net shows the traditional Net/Subnet/Universe fields with an Absolute column. Switching preserves the displayed universe number.

Failsafe Mode Control

Set the node's failsafe behaviour: hold last state, all off, all full, playback scene, or record scene. DMXRouter sends the command even when nodes don't advertise support, with a tooltip advisory.

sACN Sources

Each discovered sACN source shows:

  • Source name
  • CID (Component Identifier)
  • IP address
  • Universe list

Sources are removed 15 seconds after their last packet.

WiFi Interface Support

WiFi interfaces can be enabled in the Discovery settings for preprogramming scenarios where Ethernet is not available. They are filtered by default since WiFi is not reliable for production DMX traffic.
