EmuSync Decky plugin

A Decky plugin for the SteamDeck so you can check the sync status of your game saves, and sync game files without having to go into desktop mode.

PLEASE NOTE: You will need to download and install EmuSync first. All games must be configured in desktop mode.

Due to the somewhat limiting UI of Decky, I have no plans to allow configuring games within the Decky plugin.

Installation

1. Download the latest release from the releases tab.
   • Download the "EmuSync.zip" file to your SteamDeck.
2. Install manually through Decky:
   • In Game Mode, go to the settings cog in the top right of the Decky Loader tab.
   • Enable "Developer Mode" in General => Developer mode.
   • Go to "Developer" tab and select "Install Plugin from Zip".
   • Select the downloaded "EmuSync.zip" file. This will likely be in your downloads folder.

Updating

For updating the plugin, you'll need to uninstall the plugin first, then repeat the above steps.

How to Use

Your game syncs will need to be configured in EmuSync first, which needs to be done in desktop mode. If you haven't done that, please follow the Getting started section in the Wiki.

Upon opening the EmuSync Decky plugin, your game list is fetched and displayed.

Settings

• Show "In sync" games
  • Enable this to see games that have the latest save files downloaded.
• Show "Requires uploading" games
  • Enable this to see games that need the save files to be uploaded.
• Show "Requires downloading" games
  • Enable this to see games that need the save files to be downloaded.
• Show unconfigured games
  • Enable this to see games that don't have a directory set on the current device.
• Sort games by
  • Change the order of the games list.

Managing a game sync

Each game is minimised by default - click on the button to expand it. After a short delay, the info for the game will load.

There will usually be three buttons available. All of these buttons will perform the action without confirmation, so be sure you're using the correct button:

• Sync now
  • Clicking this button will perform the recommended action. For example, if the game requires uploading, it will upload the latest files.
• Recheck
  • Clicking this will reload the game info
• Force upload/download
  • If the game requires uploading, this button will allow you to download the game files instead.
  • If the game requires downloading, this button will allow you to upload the game files instead.
