EpIC1.1.6-1.0
DDVCSdataset EpIC1.1.6-1.0 Release Note
Overview
First release of the DDVCS (Double Deeply Virtual Compton Scattering) Monte Carlo event dataset repository for the
Electron-Ion Collider (EIC). This release focuses on the Low-Q² limit of (Quasi-real) Timelike Compton Scattering using the
EpIC generator.
What's Included
EpIC Generator Steering Cards (EpIC_xml/)
- 18x275 GeV beam configurations for electron decay channels (e⁺/e⁻)
- 18x275 GeV beam configurations for muon decay channels (μ⁺/μ⁻)
- Support for both positive and negative helicity beams
- Configurable kinematic ranges for y, Q², t, Q²', and angular variables
Production Metadata (metadata/Sept_1M_Campaign/)
- Log files from September 2024 production campaign
- Random seeds for 1M event generation per channel
- Documentation for eminus, eplus, muminus, and muplus channels
Key Features
- Event Generation: 1,000,000 events per configuration
- Subprocess Types: ALL (includes both Bethe-Heitler and DDVCS contributions)
- Kinematic Coverage:
- Q²: 0-10 GeV²
- Q²': 2-18 GeV²
- t: -2 to -0.0001 GeV²
Workflow
Events are generated in HepMC ASCII format and processed through:
- Afterburning with abconv (available in eic-shell)
- Conversion to HepMC3 ROOT format with hepmc3ascii2root
