Networking
The network of the OpenFMS's field is a secure as the official field. The Main Scoring Switch is a Cisco Layer 3 Catalyst Switch is reconfigured each match for teams VLAN. Which allows OpenFMS to make sure that the teams network isn't bothered by outside sources or other teams. For specific IP address of the components see IP Addressing Chart.
The SCCs are under each driver station wall and house the PLC hardware for interfacing the team E-stops and the team signs. Each SCC has a managed switch to allow each driver station their own connection to the FMS without being slowed down by their other team next door.
OpenFMS has the capability to use VLANing technology which allows each team their own local internet connection to FMS without interference. The VLANs get reset at every match by OpenFMS and the VLANs exist on a wired and wireless 5Gz side.
