Go to settings and set the hostname for ipfs requests to the gateway of your choosing. By default it's where its been at gateway.ipfs.io. This is great for those of us who run our own ipfs servers.

Does two things:

  • It handles intents with the scheme ipfs://[/]. This is useful to use with QR code readers that can properly parse URIs. I found Barcode Scanner to be the best at not mangling URIs and the website at http://www.qr-code-generator.com does a good job with creating QR codes.
  • Alternatively you can copy and paste a hash in by opening up the app.

IPFS requests are then routed to the server at http://gateway.ipfs.io/
