䷼ DeepTrust: The Future of Digital Trust

Our Mission

Our mission is to build the trust layer of the internet starting with voice and video communication.

We are living through a transformation unlike any before. With billions of dollars being invested into artificial intelligence and immediate access to these tools, humanity has crossed a point of no return. We can no longer rely on our own eyes and ears to inform our perception of reality.

The question is no longer "what is fake?" After enough exposure, the question becomes "what is even real?"

This erosion of sensory trust marks a deeper psychological shift. The quantity and quality of synthetic content on the internet now challenges our very perception of reality. Because of this, we must evolve our standards for what it means to see, hear, and verify truth in the digital world.

However, we believe this is not a story of doom. Instead, it is one of opportunity.

The emergence of artificial intelligence and synthetic media gives us a rare chance to rebuild trust into the foundations of the internet itself. We are still very much in the early days of wide adoption of AI. Whoever contributes to this trust layer will be shaping the standards, protocols, and authentication frameworks that define the digital landscape for decades to come. We see this as similar to the creation of HTTP and the dawn of the early web.

At DeepTrust we are starting by helping to secure the digital communication channels where this erosion of trust is leaving us most vulnerable: real-time voice and video calls.

Voice and video have become the dominant forms of human interaction online, yet there are still no standards for authenticity or security. The same qualities that make these mediums natural and personal also make them deeply vulnerable with continued improvements to generative AI.

The malicious use of artificial intelligence is accelerating social engineering attacks across the world. Voice phishing (aka vishing) has become one of the fastest growing attack vectors, threatening individuals and businesses alike. In 2024 CrowdStrike reported a 442% increase in voice phishing incidents, and by mid 2025 this total has doubled yet again.

Organizations like Arup, MGM, Marks and Spencer, and many more have all suffered incidents where a single convincing phone call, whether powered by synthetic voices or not, led to tens or hundreds of millions of dollars in losses and widespread operational disruptions. Unfortunately, these are not isolated cases. These are part of a larger trend where attackers are exploiting our human tendency to use familiarity as a heuristic for trust.

But the problems don't stop there.

Even the beneficial use of artificial intelligence in voice and video calls is facing trust related challenges. Enterprises understand the clear utility of tools such as AI notetakers and conversation agents, but struggle to adopt them at scale as most of these tools are not built with trust at their core. They lack the transparency, controls, and authorization frameworks required by security and compliance teams for safe implementation. Without these foundational safeguards, even the most helpful technology is seen as a liability rather than an ability for large organizations.

At DeepTrust, we believe that the solution is not to reject AI but to enable its responsible use. Solving the crisis of trust in digital communication is not just about identifying what is fake, it's also about establishing a standard for what is real, provable, and verifiable. At DeepTrust we are building the systems, standards, and signals that make voice and video communication secure by default.

Our goal is to ensure that every digital interaction, human or artificial, can be verified and trusted.

It's not an easy mission, but it is an important one, and it's one that we fully believe is worth the tremendous amount of time and effort it will take to achieve.
