CrewTimer Video Recorder

Intro

CrewTimer Video Recorder is an application used to record regatta video from NDI capable cameras for use with the CrewTimer Video Review app. Video files are split into 2 minute (by default) chunks for use by the review app. The review app can also trigger file splits as necessary around finish line activity.

Quickstart

  1. Download and install your software from the options below
  2. Connect your NDI camera to a network switch also connected to your recording computer
  3. Start the CrewTimer Video Recorder app
  4. Review the default settings and change output folder or file prefix if desired
  5. Select your camera from the dropdown
  6. Press the Start button to start recording

Tips

  • Select the option 'Camera Web Page' in the upper right hamburger menu to access the camera directly.
  • WiFi can cause dropouts. Use a wired network for reliable recording.
  • Review the Event Log (sidebar list icon) for camera status and warnings.
  • Note that not all cameras support VISCA control of all exposure, focus, and zoom properties.
