JoinUp Android App

The official JoinUp app for Android. JoinUp allows people to spontaneously meet up anywhere and see the location of their friends on a map.

Beta

The app has been removed from Google Play Store and relative beta program.

Getting started

We are using Android Studio (on the beta channel) as our IDE with Gradle for build automation.

To switch to the beta channel, go to Help > Check for Updates..., click on "Updates" and select Beta Channel for the automatic updates. Check for updates and install them.

Installing

1. Clone with SSH: git clone git@gits-15.sys.kth.se:core55/android.git
2. Copy res/values/google_maps_api.example.xml to res/values/google_maps_api.xml and add your own Google Maps Android API key
3. Copy res/values/google_signin_api.example.xml to res/values/google_signin_api.xml and request the key from the android team
4. Request the google-services.json from the android team and copy to app/google-services.json
