Summary

Major UX improvements with COCO mode enabled by default for better quality, new power-user features, and refreshed branding.

Key Changes

COCO Mode Default ON 🔄

  • COCO quality mode now enabled by default for better out-of-the-box experience
  • Iterates until code quality ≥ 85 automatically
  • Users can disable with /coco off for faster responses

New Commands

  • /full-access — Auto-approve safe commands within project

    • 60+ dangerous commands blacklisted (rm -rf /, sudo, npm publish, etc.)
    • Path sandboxing: only works within project directory
    • Toggle with /full-access [on|off|status]
  • /update-coco — Self-update to latest npm version

    • Natural language: "update coco" triggers command
    • Auto-runs npm install -g @corbat-tech/coco@latest
    • Aliases: /upgrade, /self-update

Redesigned README 📖

  • Renamed from "Corbat-Coco" to just "Coco" for cleaner branding
  • Modern visual design with badges and quick navigation
  • "The Problem / The Solution" section
  • Improved feature showcase with examples
  • Better command documentation

Infrastructure

  • Status bar foundation for persistent context display
  • Interruption handler for queuing user input during processing (foundation)
  • Release workflow documentation (docs/RELEASE_WORKFLOW.md)

Testing

  • ✅ All 4679 tests passing
  • ✅ Typecheck passing
  • ✅ Linter clean (0 warnings)
  • ✅ Build successful
  • ✅ New features tested

Breaking Changes

None — COCO mode being ON by default improves quality but users can disable it.

Migration Guide

No migration needed. Existing users who prefer fast mode can run /coco off.
