Was there any further discussion on these times? Some prior discussions (example) talked of "Europe/Africa/Asia friendly"; I doubt either time can be considered "friendly" to APAC

The only discussion was on the conda-community side, to "merge" with the conda-forge schedule. I didn't go into the details of finding new time slots, since these ones were chosen some time ago after a couple weeks of surveying preference in the core team. We can revisit the times (e.g. 8AM UTC is used in some communities for APAC), but for now this blog post is only about the "merge".
