hi @kevin-v-ngo would appreciate your review on this since you started the https://github.com/cockroachlabs/cockroachdb-skills repo and this PR's primary goal is to get that mentioned in our docs. Open to feedback on any other parts of this PR as well of course! |

Looks great, Rich. I like the nav setup. Agree with your logic.
Made a couple minor suggestions. Even if you don't go with the one on agent-skills.md, FYI it's missing a word.

@kevin-v-ngo prolly gonna merge this later today after integrating Mike's feedback, just wanted to mention that a bunch of the skills are still empty right now, but i assume that is expected to be a temporary condition, and we'd rather get this out sooner than later. All of the above is probably implied by your LGTM but just to be explicit! |

thanks for the reviews all, gonna backport this change to all supported versions and then merge |

Fixes DOC-16269
Summary of changes:
NB. This section is positioned quite aggressively in the TOC nav to reflect that in 2026, many people will "get started" using the database by installing agent skills and hooking up MCPs very early in their journey. This is an opinionated choice and open for discussion. But i'll say this: it's what I would do at this point.
Alternative locations considered: 'Reference > AI Tools > ...', but that felt pretty buried
