MCR is composed of a macro-enabled Microsoft Excel workbook that contains scripts written in Microsoft Visual Basic for Applications (VBA).

Getting Started

Before you can run MCR, you'll need to prepare three main components and ensure a quick technical setting is enabled in Microsoft Excel.

The Three Key Components:
Using MCR involves bringing together three crucial elements:

  1. The Template: This is your report's blueprint. It defines the layout, general information common to all participants, and designated spaces for personalized data. You'll create this in Microsoft Word or PowerPoint.
  2. Participant Data: These are the unique numerical, text, and graphical results for each individual participant that MCR will insert into their report. These data are compiled in Microsoft Excel. We will refer to this datafile as the "Master Excel File" for the purposes of this handbook.
  3. Generating Reports: Finally, MCR creates and saves a unique, personalized report for every participant. MCR is opened and run through a Microsoft Excel Workbook.

Enable the Technical Setting
For MCR to work, you must enable the "Microsoft PowerPoint 16.0 Object Library" within Excel's VBA editor in MCR Microsoft Excel Workbook:
Go to --> Developer Tab | Visual Basic | Tools | References | Microsoft Powerpoint 16.0 Object Library image
