PR/AI: A Boricua Experiment in AI-Driven Local Discovery
PR/AI is an open-source initiative designed to democratize access to comprehensive information about Puerto Rico using the world's most advanced language models. This platform serves as a high-fidelity guide for both residents and visitors, making every corner of the island—from hidden coastal gems to the gastronomic treasures of the interior—seamlessly accessible.
The project was born with the purpose of merging cutting-edge multimodal technology with the cultural heart of Puerto Rico. PR/AI explores the practical implementation of large language models within local contexts, aiming to improve the accuracy and utility of information regarding local landmarks, events, and services. By grounding AI capabilities in regional data, we strive to build a tool that feels born from the island itself.
We believe in the power of transparency and community collaboration. PR/AI is an open-source project that invites developers, technology enthusiasts, and the broader community to participate in its evolution. This collaborative model ensures that the project remains a transparent experiment in what is possible when advanced computation meets local knowledge.
The application is built on the Effect framework, providing a resilient and type-safe foundation for managing complex logical flows and external service integrations. PR/AI adheres to a Grammar-First development methodology, where all implementation is strictly guided by architectural anchors defined in the project registry. This ensures that the codebase maintains the highest standards of technical excellence and long-term scalability.
PR/AI is a tool in its experimental stage. While the project strives for technical precision, all responses are generated by artificial intelligence and may contain inaccuracies. We encourage users and contributors to explore the platform with curiosity and to verify critical information through official local sources as part of this ongoing technological journey.
Detailed information regarding contribution standards, security protocols, and administrative policies is available in the Technical Documentation.
