The Neotropical Language Diversity Simulator is a spatially explicit mechanistic model that simulates how environmental, ecological and demographic mechanisms imposed by altitude, water availability, rivers and group size shaped the pre-Columbian language and phylogenetic diversity patterns found in the Neotropical realm.
